Papa John’s is somewhat innovative…

Even though most local pizza joints have been offering whole wheat crust pizzas for some time now, and even though I’ve heard from Ball State Alumni Whitney Hoyt that the founder of Papa John’s is a total A-hole; I want to congratulate Papa John Schnatter today.  I am no doubt choosing convenience over quality and I will probably regret this, but I am eating Papa John’s Whole Wheat Crust pizza tonight. I PRE-ORDERED!!! I PRE PAID!!! My hot, fresh pizza will be patiently waiting for me to scoop it up and be on my way. Plus it’s a whole wheat crust which makes it SOOO much healthier I don’t even feel guilty. So there, I admit it. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Have you had PJ’s, Domino’s, or Pizza Hut recently? What do you think of chains?

The beginning of the beginning

Right now I am completely overwhelmed by excitement! Taking on this new project is both invigorating and scary. What if no one reads it? What if I get kicked out of restaurants? What if someone tries to avenge the poor review I gave his restaurant by kidnapping my beloved Paco? I can only hope that none of this happens. (Anyone out there can try their luck with Paco by the way, he’s a maniac.) My hope for this blog is at the very least, Central Florida residents will look to it for honest reviews and reliable recommendations.  I would love to receive suggestions of the locals’ favorite spots. If your Friday Night Date Night spot has the best linguine w/ clam sauce…I’d like to support them.  I am so nervous, anxious, and antsy-in-my-pantsy to get out there and review the hell out of Orlando!!

I want to thank W.W.K. and The Sam I’ve Never Met for helping make this possible. I won’t forget about you when I’m rich and famous. Ha!

The first blog is the deepest…

‘Ello ‘ello!!! So here it is, my first ever blog.  I’ll try to make this really interesting so as to prompt your return tomorrow! No promises as to how often I’ll update this but it will always be relevant and somewhat entertaining.

My first post is more of a plea: I want the Otown Low Down from the people who know it best! While I live in Deltona and work in Winter Park, I consider myself an Orlando resident.  I love it here. I was born and raised in Florida and Orlando is definitely where I feel most at “home.”

I want to be the PerezHilton of Orlando area restaurant reviews. ( <– dumbass thing to say) Meaning, I am going to give the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth (my opinion) of our restaurants and I want you to join in! I want to hear it all. If you had an amazing dinner, great service, and reasonably priced drinks in Kissimmee, (yeah fucking right) I want to know about it. If your husband puked for 12 hours straight from bad Korean food  in Pine Hills (most likely), I want to hear about that too.  I want to know all of the places where I can get excellent service, cold and quick drinks, and great food. You show me yours, and I’ll show you mine! :)

My first question: WHERE THE HELL CAN I FIND GOOD PIZZA?? I know where you damn sure CAN’T find good pizza…DELTONA. I’ve pretty much given up on eating in Deltona outside of my own kitchen, but that’s for another blog.  If you have any GRRREAT pizza spots in O-Town, let me know.

Please don’t come back with a chain who offers 6 pizzas at $3 each…we’ll all make fun of you. I can’t wait to hear what you have to say!

EAT UP Orlando- Then tell me!
